Type S NEMA motor starters provide full voltage starting and stopping for AC squirrel cage motors, with ratings up to 810 amperes. This particular 3-pole, Size 1 non-reversing starter is rated at 27 amperes. It supports 3-phase motors with horsepower ratings of 7.5 HP at 200 and 230 VAC, and 10 HP at 460 and 575 VAC. Equipped with a Motor Logic overload relay adjustable from 9A to 27A, it effectively detects overcurrent conditions. The starter offers a maximum short circuit current rating (SCCR) of 100 kA per UL508A when used with suitable circuit protection. Featuring a 110/120 VAC 50/60 Hz coil wired for separate control, this open device measures 6.77" x 3.50" x 4.22". Type S starters come with various replaceable coils and accessories, and are UL listed and CSA certified.
